Space Reporting Transition: InVision → FM:Systems (FMS)

Overview

As part of the InVision replacement project, we evaluated existing space reports with a focus on improving accessibility for data analysts and space administrators.

Previously, reports were hosted on a standalone server requiring:

  • A separate login process
  • A Husky OnNet VPN Connection
This setup often created barriers to access.

With FM:Systems, space reports are now embedded directly within the space management system. This simplifies the login process and eliminates the need for a VPN connection.

What’s Changing

  • Where you access reports: From a standalone server → directly within FMS.
  • How you interact with reports: New interface and workflows (see training below).

What’s Staying the Same

  • Report names, definitions, and formats remain unchanged.
  • Access permissions: If you had access to the report server, you’ll have access to the same reports in FMS.
